Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers Association Memorial Campground Since 1977

The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers’ Association had an early goal to establish a recreational area for use by its members and guests. As a result, in 1977 the Association purchased thirty (30) acres of land in Waupaca for a campground. The campground is located between Waupaca and New London on CTH “KK” just north of South 54. It has 1,100 feet of river frontage on the south branch of the Little Wolf River.

Since its inception in 1977, members have put in many hours to clear and build the campground into a facility which sees increased attendance each year. There are pads for camping trailers and an area cleared for tent campers. Restrooms, showers, electricity, and a well are located on the grounds. A pavilion, basketball court, volleyball area, jungle gym, and horse shoe pits provide recreational opportunities for campers. The Association also has bicycles available to visitors. Floatation tubes allow for an enjoyable and leisurely ride down the Little Wolf River. All in all, the campground provides a great place for an overnight stay or just a day’s outing.

The campground is available for use by WLEOA members and guests. Large groups who wish to use the facility should check in advance with a campground committee member. Phone numbers are listed in the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Journal. Donations are accepted from campers and/or visitors to help maintain the grounds. The WLEOA board and officers are convinced this campground plays an important role in the positive physical and mental development of our young people. It provides a relaxing haven for WLEOA members and their families.

Campground Availability

The WLEOA Campground is open to all members of the WLEOA.  Members are free to camp at any time.  Amenities at the campground are available typically from May to November but are dependent upon weather.  If a member wishes to camp before or after utilities are restored they must have their own power and access to water.

Please complete the attached form if you would like to reserve the pavilion at the campground, schedule an event or volunteer during certain weeks.
